Jefferson Davis Parish Police Jury will hold a public meeting to solicit input from residents in the identification of recovery priorities and the development of projects to be funded under the Restore Louisiana Hometown Revitalization and Resilient Communities Infrastructure Programs. The initial public meeting will be held at the Jefferson Davis Parish Police Jury located at 304 N. State Street, Jennings, LA 70546, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 3:30 p.m.
Other meetings will be held at the locations and times below:
- 23405 Hwy 383, Iowa Fire Department (FD5) on Wednesday, August 30, at 2:30pm
- 135 N Lane, Ragley Fire Department (FD7) on Thursday, August 31, at 10:00am
At a minimum, the following items will be discussed at the public hearing:
- The amount of funds available for the proposed Hometown Revitalization and Resilient Communities Infrastructure Programs through the Restore Louisiana allocations.
- The range of activities that may be undertaken, including the estimated amount of funds proposed to be used for activities that will benefit individuals of low-to-moderate income.
- An opportunity for residents to provide input on projects they would like to see undertaken using the funds.
All residents, particularly individuals of low-to- moderate income, non-English speaking persons, and other disadvantaged populations of the parish are encouraged to attend this meeting.
Accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities and non-English speaking individuals provided that a 3-day notice is received by the parish. Those residents unable to attend this hearing may submit their views and comments until Thursday, October 05, 2023, to:
